Bianca Vern-Barnett is an abstract artist who works between studios in NSW and Central Queensland. She is the winner of the 2024 Hunter Emerging Art Prize for painting and is represented by Straitjacket, Newcastle, after a new sell out first solo show last year.

Her work has been selected as a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize, The Mac Yapang Art Prize, The Hornsby Art Prize and the Newcastle Club Foundation Painting Prize.

Vern-Barnett creates abstract works which investigate a variety of personal and collective narratives. She is a graduate of UNSW College of Fine Arts.
